He returned to the Sheriff's Office when Sheriff Mancuso took office. At the time of his retirement he served as the Chief Civil Deputy. DeLaureal is a veteran of the U. S. Army where he served in Vietnam from 1970 through 1971. He is a member of several civic and professional organizations where he has held leadership positions.
