On June 22 at approximately 7:30 p.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a Sulphur apartment complex regarding a report of a tenant, later identified as Gene M. Kimble, 24, 210 N. Beglis Parkway, Apt. # 41, Sulphur, waving a gun at someone from his vehicle.
Upon arrival, deputies received consent to search Kimble’s apartment. Once inside, deputies located a revolver, 14 individually wrapped baggies of marijuana, a postal digital shipping scale, two marijuana cigarettes and a small baggy containing a white powder substance, believed to be cocaine, inside the apartment.
Deputies also discovered three small children inside the home.
Kimble, Dayvette L. Jourdan, 21, and Lori B. Ryan, 32, all of 210 N. Beglis Parkway, Apt. # 41, were arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and all charged with possession of a firearm in the presence of narcotics; possession of marijuana with intent to distribute; possession of narcotics in presence of juveniles; possession of CDS II (cocaine); and possession of drug paraphernalia. Kimble is also charged with aggravated assault with a firearm; possession of a firearm for convicted felon; and possession of marijuana (2ndoffense).
Judge Michael Canaday set Kimble’s bond at $145,000. Judge Wilford Carter set Jourdan’s bond at $7,500; and set Ryan’s bond at $5,000.
