CPSO Vice Arrests Man for 84 Counts of Obtaining CDS by Fraud

On August 20, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Vice detectives arrested Michael D. Treadway, 48, 2141 Country Club Road, Lake Charles, after an investigation revealed he obtained approximately 900 hydrocodone pills a month over the past year by utilizing numerous local pharmacies to have his prescriptions filled.

Treadway was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with 84 counts of obtaining CDS by fraud and released on a $20,000 bond set by Judge Robert Wyatt.

The investigation is ongoing and CPSO Vice detectives are working with the DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) and the Louisiana Board of Medical Examiners.
