On September 4, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives received a report regarding a theft. When detectives spoke with the victim, she advised her wedding ring, valued at over $7,500, was missing from her home. The victim also advised detectives that Tannyia K. Vincent, 53, 8061 Holland Road, Hayes, had stayed at her home at the time the ring went missing.
When questioned by detectives, Vincent confirmed she stole the wedding ring while staying at the victim’s home and sold it to a local pawn shop for cash.
On September 5, Vincent was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with theft over $1,500.
Judge Michael Canaday set her bond at $10,000.
The stolen ring has been recovered by detectives and returned to the victim.
