CPSO CAP Unit Arrests Moss Bluff Man for 2nd Offense Failure to Register as Sex Offender

On September 23, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Compliance and Awareness Program Unit (CAP) arrested convicted sex offender Joseph G. Chamberlain, 48, 1166 Whippoorwill Drive, Moss Bluff, and charged him with failure to register as a sex offender 2ndoffense after an investigation revealed he had moved without notifying the proper authorities within three days, as required by law for all registered sex offenders.

Chamberlain, who was convicted of forcible rape in April 1988 and also convicted of failure to register as a sex offender in September 2010, all in Calcasieu Parish, was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center.  

His bond is still pending.
